Reports that vodka and cocaine sales have gone through the roof in Leicester are yet to be confirmed as Claudio Ranieri’s Foxes were crowned champions for the first time in their history tonight.
Following a draw at Old Trafford, Leicester were forced to wait until Monday night as Tottenham took on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and it looked like they would be forced to wait even longer after Tottenham took a 2 goal lead into the break following goals from Harry Kane and Son.
But Gary Cahill and Eden Hazard drew Chelsea level in a fiery game, to hand Leicester the title with 2 games to spare.
True to the now famous song, Leicester striker Jamie Vardy was indeed having a party as he and his teammates gathered to watch the Chelsea and Spurs game and their reaction at full time was priceless:
Leicester will now lift the trophy in front of their home fans at the King Power stadium on Saturday evening, to cap off a fairytale season and no one will be celebrating more than Vardy who returns from a 2 game ban as well as having been named the Football Writers Association’s Footballer of the Year.
