Much is expected of Kenedy after completing his move to Chelsea this summer.
The 19 year old is highly rated back in Brazil after impressing in his albeit brief time in the Fluminese first team as well as his ventures with Brazil’s youth sides.
Joining up with Jose Mourinho’s side during pre season, we saw glimpses of what he was capable on the US tour but last night in the Capital One Cup we began to see the makings of a real player.
The young Brazilian had featured previously in the season, losing to both Crystal Palace and Everton but in a less tense environment, Kenedy buzzed and showed why Chelsea were so keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge setting up the opener for Ramires.
An impressive display was capped with a goal and his celebration said it all as the passion flowed.
In a new country at such a young age it would be silly to expect too much from the attacker, but the glimpses we have seen of him, Chelsea may have yet another brilliant Brazilian on their hands!
