There has long been talk of a feud between Eden Hazard and Jose Mourinho, but tonight as Chelsea beat Porto 2-0 to qualify for the final 16 of the Champions League the tension reared it’s head.
It’s being reported that Hazard’s indifferent form this season is down to a falling out with Mourinho and the Belgian will look to leave Stamford Bridge this summer with Real Madrid lurking.
There have been denials on both sides but when Eden Hazard was subbed off tonight for Loic Remy, he was unable to mask his feelings.
Mourinho reached out to his player, but Hazard pushed his manager’s hand away in a move that will surely have alarm bells ringing.
Last time out in Europe, Mourinho engaged in a shouting match with striker Diego Costa, another player he is rumoured to have had a falling out with, and now star player Hazard has publicly shown how unhappy he is.
Clearly something is up at Stamford Bridge!
