Video: Michail Antonio deserves his chance ahead of this £50m star

Michail Antonio’s rise has been pretty meteoric, impressing at every club before finally landing at Premier League West Ham.

Last season his performances saw some say that he should have been on the plane for the Euros and whilst he missed out, incoming England manager Sam Allardyce was quick to include him in the England fold in his first squad.

The Londoner didn’t make it onto the pitch for England but is still thought to be in Allardyce’s plans as his form hasn’t dropped despite West Ham’s struggles, scoring 3 goals in West Ham’s 2 defeats since returning from international break.

And Football Fanzone’s Jason Cundy is a big fan of the wideman saying that whilst he isn’t a fullback, playing him further forward can cause all manner of problems for opposition and that he is more than deserving of his place in the England set up, even at the expense of Raheem Sterling who still has a bit to do in an England shirt!
