Man City new boy Ilkay Gundogan has joined Arsenal, before even kicking a ball for Pep Guardiola’s side… or atleast according to his twitter account.
Gundogan joined City back in June but is still sidelined with a knee injury that caused him to miss the European championships.
The former Dortmund midfielder will be an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s plans as he looks to take City back to the summit of English football after finishing 4th last season, but according to a Twitter blunder may have to dip into the transfer market again after the German seemingly jumped ship and joined rivals Arsenal.
It appears that Gundogan’s social media is handled by the same people that look after Mesut Ozil’s, because a tweet that was clearly meant to have come from Ozil’s account ended up coming from Gundogan’s.
The tweet which claimed that he would be back in training soon after joining the Gunners on their US Tour was quickly deleted but not before tons of fans captured it.
This is just the latest social media gaff in the world of football, when will these players learn!?
