It’s back to reality for Manchester United after a humbling 4-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in their second game of pre-season.
Of course you can’t read too much into the result; it was United’s second game compared to Dortmund’s fifth and United were absent a number of stars.
That said some of the performances have drawn ire from United fans who likely had to scramble and watch the 1pm kickoff by any means.
Marcos Rojo has been treading a thin line for some time now after ropey performance after ropey performance last term.
Fans initially fell for the Argentine defender who forced a £16m move from Sporting Lisbon in 2014 but injuries didn’t allow United to see all he had to offer, but when they were finally given that chance, at both left back and centre-back, fans unanimously voted that the 26 year old was nowhere near good enough.
Another poor showing in today’s defeat has left fans at the end of their tethers, especially after Ousmane Dembele left him looking like he had his bootlaces tied together for Dortmund’s 3rd goal.
Fans took to Twitter to vent about Rojo’s poor display and it doesn’t make for pretty reading!
RIP Marcos Rojo, 1990-2016

Remember, it's a friendly, it means nothing. That said Rojo is abysmal. He was last season. Always worries me.

Marcos Rojo is not a real footballer.

Not basing anything on this game but Jones and Rojo have to go.

The day we sell Rojo will be forever remembered as a wonderful day. 3-0 Dortmund. Dembele.

Wow. That was sensational from Dembele. Rojo made to look like a schoolboy, that's him gone.
