Alan Curbishley

Alan Curbishley

After a career that saw him play for West Ham, Birmingham, Aston Villa and Charlton amongst others, Alan Curbishley made the move into the dugout. The former midfielder oversaw Charlton's dramatic promotion into the Premier League in 1998 and despite being relegated in 1999, he saw Charlton again promoted into English football's top flight where he consolidated their place there before leaving, having been in charge for 729 games. After a spell out of the game Curbishley moved across London to manage West Ham, where he most famously masterminded West Ham's stay in the Premier League in 06-07, with 7 wins out of their last 9 games including a win over Man United at Old Trafford. Curbishley resigned in 2008 after differences with the club's owners and, bar a brief spell at Fulham in 13-14, has since worked largely as a highly respected pundit for the likes of Sky, Al Jazeera, Talksport and now, he has brought his expertise to Football Fanzone.
