Manchester United have completed the signing of Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin this evening, in time for their pre season tour of the United States.
Whilst many believed that United had ended their pursuit of the French midfielder, something reinforced by their signing of Bayern Munich’s Bastien Schweinsteiger, United have wrapped up the deal this evening.
Photographer and United ITK Craig Norwood confirmed the deal saying:
Morgan Schneiderlin arrived into Carrington five-minutes after Bastian Schweinsteiger this evening. Medical done, now a #MUFC player.
But whilst Schweinsteiger’s transfer may have acted as a cover, one United fan’s innocuous tweet gave up the transfer meaning fans were in the loop well before the press.
In a now deleted tweeted, a twitter user claimed to post an image of what was Morgan Schneiderlin’s blood work being transported from Carrington following a medical at quarter to 8:
A number of news outlets are only picking up on the story now, but eagle eyed United fans have been in the loop a lot earlier.
The signing is United’s 4th of the season and shows United really mean business as they look to get back to the summit of English football.
