Chelsea are on the verge of signing 16 year old Joseph Colley from Swedish side Brommapojkarna according to Get West London.
Colley will head to Stamford Bridge on July 1st after reportedly tying up the deal way back in 2013. Chelsea allowed Colley to remain in Sweden to carry on his development but are now summoning him to London in order to further his education.
The West London local claim that Colley said his goodbyes earlier this week ahead of a move to Cobham
The 6 foot teenager is capable of performing as a full back, in the middle of defence or as a holding midfielder, a huge asset to Joe Edwards’ u18s side who won the FA Youth Cup at the end of the season, having pipped Manchester United to his signature.
The 16 year old has captained Sweden at youth level having been born and raised there, but is also ellegible for Gambia through parentage.
