Manchester United could wrap up the signing of Barcelona’s Pedro in the next few hours according to reports in Spain.
United’s interest in Pedro is one of football’s worst kept secrets, somewhat of a surprise given the covert nature of their transfer business this summer.
With Pedro’s buyout clause dropping to €30m, United are willing to pull the trigger on the move for the Spaniard, who will likely be a replacement for the soon departing Angel Di Maria.
United can offer Pedro what he craves, playing time, after he fell down the pecking order at the Nou Camp with the arrivals of Neymar and then Luis Suarez.
And Sport claim that the move could be wrapped up sooner rather than later with Ed Woodward due to meet with Barcelona.
Despite Pedro’s buyout clause set at €30m, it is believed that United are hoping to striker a deal for €25m plus variables, whilst Barca would prefer the full €30m.
