Chelsea, the unbeaten league leaders, head to Newcastle in BT Sport’s lunchtime clash. A 2nd visit to the North East in a week and they are obvious favourites but no value at 8/15. They could easily be frustrated like last Saurday’s 0-0 draw against Sunderland and this match is a decent price to end in a draw at 3/1. Chelsea were clearly 2nd best in opening 20 mins in Wednesday’s win against Tottenham and will be without the influential Matic through suspension at St James Park. Newcastle are a dangerous opponent whom you never know how they might perform.
I fancy Hull at 11/8 to beat West Brom. I am not sure we will see Ben Arfa again for Steve Bruce after last weekend at Old Trafford but they did well to bounce back from that defeat with a big point at Everton. WBA are struggling and this ought to be a home win.
Both Liverpool and Man City are 8/15 to win against Sunderland and Everton and both face must win Champions League Matches next week, I expect City to win with something in hand and you can back them to win by 2 goals of more at 23/20 if you are not an odds on punter. If you are then the in form Sergio Aguero is 3/4 to score at anytime and 3/1 to score first. A narrow Liverpool win looks more likely 1-0 is 11/2 while draw at Half time Liverpool at Full Time is worth considering at 16/5.
QPR are a revelation at home and abysmal away this season and their fans know if they are to retain their Premier League status they simply have to win home games against fellow strugglers like Burnley. The Lancashire side have picked up after a poor start and have not lost in 4 but I am shocked to see QPR odds against here at 21/20 in a match I expect them to win.
Arsenal seem to struggle at Stoke but will attract plenty of money at Evens in what is sure to be a tight match, a 1-0 win for Gunneres is 6/1 while Draw Half Time Arsenal Full Time looks over the odds here at 4/1.
Tottenham will be hoping to bounce back from the Chelsea loss and face Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane in a match I expect them to win and they are 8/13 to do so. Harry Kane, who hit the bar early on on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge, is 7/2 to score first in this North/South London Derby.
West Ham and Swansea are both having superb seasons and The Hammers will be popular at 11/8 to win this Sunday fixture but having already won at Old Trafford this season, Swansea will not be fearing their trip to East London. Personally I go for a Hammers victory.
Aston Villa and Leicester both need a win on Sunday in a Midlands Derby which looks value to end all square at 23/10. It is hard to see many goals here and you can back 2 or less in the match at just under Evens which looks value.
The week’s fixtures conclude on Monday where Manchester United are fancied and look sure to be well backed at 6/4 and leapfrog Southampton and make it 5 Premier League wins in a row, and make it 3 defeats on the spin for The Saints who have had a wonderful campaign so far. 12/5 for the draw is a decent price here but United have at last found momentum and will not need any firing up in this clash of the Dutch managers to try to continue their winning run ahead of next weekends big clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford.
